How do I customize or hide the error messages that show up when an RDS session disconnects or is unable to connect? For example, when a user’s RDS session disconnects due to inactivity (configured in RDS, not in IGEL), a rather generic error message pops up on the screen that doesn’t provide the user with any useful info that might scare them off a little.
Can you send us a screenshot of this window? I could then try to manipulate it. A screenshot of the endpoint taskmanager with the window process may help also.
@member Like this? The error window is what the users see when they get disconnected from their RDS session after reaching the RDS inactivity limit.
Thanks! Dumb question maybe but would it help if we define a post session command (like logoff) after a RDP/RDS Logoff (for whatever reason)?

RDP => command: logoff
would do the following: as soon as a RDP Sessions ends, the local endpoint would logoff / logon (automatically) and stays there like on a fresh boot.

I would still love to be able to customize the error message though if possible, for example when a user whose Windows password has expired, attempts to start an RDS Session through Igel, it also comes up with a rather generic error that I think says the server is unavailable.
Got it, from what I’m seeing I don’t see a standard way. But I will ask! Just an idea regarding that behavior, you could try to replace the login mechanism, by let the user login on domain first and then use the passthrough for the session but like written I will try to see if and how we could change that.
I’m using a simple workaround for this right now which is to use the custom command “pkill gtkmessage” after the RDS session closes. Is it possible to start a new custom window popup using a terminal command? That way I can just add the command that starts a new window after the pkill and put some info in. Thanks
