IGEL APP
Are there any information about how to build an Igel OS12 App?
Does Igel use formats like Flatpack or Snap for the Apps?
How easy is it to build Apps? Vendors like Sonicwall (VPN: netextender) have diclined to build Apps because of the complexity.
There is an OS 12 App SDK that IGEL and IGEL partners are using to create applications.
For customers, this has not been released.
Until it is released for customers, Custom Partitions can still be used.
ok thanks. that would have been my second question. i thought it would might be easieer to build the app than a custom partition.
Have your vendor(s) contact IGEL Ready to be able to create apps for IGEL OS 12.
i don’t think so. it sounds like we do not want to do any additial work so we say it is to complicated

o there is a custom partition. i will have a look. a year ago i have tried to build one with a customized parameter file (server, port, etc) and struggeled.
My plan, once SDK is open to customers, is to create GtiHub site that will auto-magically create the OS 12 App via the SDK like I’m currently doing for Custom Partitions.
