Can we downgrade a OS12 UD Pocket to OS11?

Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I can’t seem to find anything through search or online anywhere. I ordered some new Igel UD Pocket 2 drives from CDW this week, and my rep emailed me back saying that Igel told him they are no longer available and UD Pocket will no longer be sold once stock is depleted. Is this true, and if so, is there a comparable replacement product planned?

UD Pocket (1 / 2) will live on.

Transcend, IGEL’s existing UD Pocket manufacturer, will continue to produce them.

Once stock is depleted:

Awesome, thank you! Would making our own using the OS Creator to install to flash drives be a viable alternative as well, or does that require different licensing?

You can create your own UD Pockets, however if they are created on generic USB keys, then they will be tied to a single desktop, and not moveable. If you flash an IGEL branded UD Pocket/USB drive, then you can upgrade it as needed

If you are creating your own UD Pockets, and as @member noted above, they will be tied to the first PC it is used in.

Please also note that a high performance USB drive is needed for best performance.

Ok, that all shouldn’t be too big of a deal. I really appreciate all of the help!

One last question, what licenses do the computers created with the OS Creator require? Right now we just have Workspace Edition licenses, but it doesn’t seem to be accepting that license on the test computer I tried imaging with the OS creator (using the v11 OS Creator).

That should work… Make sure you are using NTP time on all systems.

Here are some notes on removing license and reseting

Ok, removing the license and doing it again fixed it. Thank you again for all of your help and advice!
