DHCP option 224 not reaching the IGEL OS thin clients?

Hi guys, is there an issue using dhcp-server on Windows Server 2019? It seems to me, that option 224 doesn’t reach the TC.

Hi Ralph, I wouldn‘t be aware of it, but let‘s see what other members report.

Under /wfs/ you should find a file called dhclient…lease; there you should be able to see if the option reached the client.

It should looks like this:

option igelrmserver „yourumsip“

Hi Sebastien, thanks for your reply. Please excuse my silly Question, but where do I find “/wfs”

Oh, sorry. Open a local terminal on the endpoint (Accessories=>Terminal=>+ to add a new session), login as root, cd /wfs/, more dhclient…

O.K., made it. There can be found an entry

option igelrmserver “1231212216”;

Here we are… please check on your DHCP server that text and not IP is selected as type!

Hmm, that’s curios and now I’m a little off course.

My DHCP-Server shows only a box named “IP-Address” using that option. I have no idea, how to change the format. Do you have any idea, how to do this?

O.K., found it and … it works! Many thanks for your help – you made my day!

Try to remove it, when creating the option choose string instead of IP

Oh, great!! You are welcome!
