Without DPI Scaling, writing very small and hard to read.

With Monitor DPI detection (Smart), the Desplay is bigger but not sharp….

The Option DPI detection (Pixel-precise) worse than (Smart)

And how to Split the UltraWide Display to Multimonitor-Mode, if i connect only one DisplayPort-Cable?

Hello, which firmware are you looking at? Did you played with the zoom factor of the display Switcher already?

Firmware:, i dont play with zoom factor, i dont know the display Switcher?

Ok, please try 11.08.200 since aq lot of drivers were refreshed.

On display switcher:kb.igel.com/igelos-11.08.200/en/tip-trick-display-switch-69176518.html kb.igel.com/igelos-11.08.200/en/tip-trick-display-switch-69176518.html

I have setup display switch…. i play with it…

Hi Dominik,

For our users with some “additional life experience” we use following settings on a Full HD screen:

120DPI = 125% scale in windows

144DPI = 150% scale in windows

Arrg, DPI Scaling does not work with Picture in Picture or PBP 50% / 50%. Igel OS scales, but not within the Citrix-Session

I’m finishing my research for today. Now nothing changes. Even the settings that worked this morning no longer work.

not even after a firmware downgrade to 11.05.133. magical

Hi Dominik,

I don’t know about picture in picture. But we had to create a registry key on our citrix servers to enable dpi client scaling: Create Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlTerminal ServerWinStationsIgnoreClientDesktopScaleFactor DWORD = 0

We use Server 2019. This setting works for windows and Igel (since 11.08.200) clients.

I also see following enabled in my config:

registry key: ica.wfclient.dpimatchingenabled

Hi, with 120 DPI setting and ica.wfclient.dpimatchingenabled it works for us in Citrix sessions. Is there a way for the user to set the DPI?

Hi, this might help:

I’ve got a solution!

The fastest way to success is the following key

HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktopLogPixels

– If LogPixels does not exist then create a new DWORD value

– Type in Decimal Value

96 for Smaller 100%

120 for Medium 125%

144 for Larger 150%

(Source: yagmoth555.wordpress.com/2018/11/07/windows-server-2016-rdp-dpi-settings/ )

the user just needs to re-login the citrix session.

the following is not required!

Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlTerminal ServerWinStationsIgnoreClientDesktopScaleFactor DWORD = 0

IGEL UMS Settig: Registry key: ica.wfclient.dpimatchingenabled

AND I’ve learned that Display Switch and Monitor profiles compete against each other.

You are a HERO!! Thank you VERY MUCH for sharing the solution with us!!

Hi Dominik,

Indeed the registry key is only needed when you want the windows session to follow the client DPI setting.

Good news that you have a working solution!

Have a nice day
