Error adding IGEL devices to UMS – search finds the clients, but I can not add them because of an SSL connect error?

Hello, we use several devices, model UD2-LX40 and UD2-LX42. Now we got some UD2-LX10 devices. Interestingly enough, they are recognized as UD2-LX40ac.

I want to add the devices to the UMS console. The search finds the clients, but I can not add them because of an SSL connect error. As far as I know, there is a certificate missing. You can also read in the search results window that a certificate is missing. Unfortunately, I do not know how the certificate files are named and how I can add them. Can someone help me there?

Hello! Dumb question but are we speaking about new or used devices? Can you give us your UMS Version?

please post a screenshot / picture of the SSL error

The UD2 LX10 clients are new. The other clients (UD2-LX40 and UD3-LX42) are older. The UMS server and the UMS Management Suite are installed in version 4.08.100.

@member the ud2 lx10 as you say, is a ud2-lx40. It’s the same hardware. Though, they are using the “new” igel OS v10. To add those to your ums you need to upgrade the ums to a current version (5.08.120 is the current public one)

Hello,

I have updated the UMS server to version 5.08.120. The previous configuration has been adopted. However, the new IGEL is still not accepted. If I let it search, it will be found, but the import process ends with the following error message: “Error: Can not connect to remote management server”. Does anyone have any idea where the mistake might be?

Make sure that 30001, 9080 and 8443 ports are open incoming to the UMS.

Have you tried a factory reset and then reconnect? My experience is that it sometimes solves some unexplained errors
