Hello Community,
Has anyone been successful in getting the Zscaler CP (Custom Partition) to work?
I’ve followed the instructions provided in the repository (github.com/IGEL-Community/IGEL-Custom-Partitions/tree/master/CP_Source/Network/Zscaler_Client), but I’m encountering an issue.
According to the notes, all we need to do is update the value at the end of the script and then reboot. However, after rebooting, the `/custom/zscaler/opt/zscaler/.config.ini` file does not show the updated values.
I’ve also tried editing the `/custom/zscaler/opt/zscaler/.config.ini` file directly and then rebooting or restarting Zscaler, but the changes don’t seem to take effect. For example, I expected to see the cloud name appearing.
I might have overlooked something simple, but I’m not sure what it could be. If anyone has any insights or suggestions, please let me know.
Thank you!
Maybe you can use zscaler-config script from section “https://help.zscaler.com/client-connector/customizing-zscaler-client-connector-install-options-linux#install-package-command-line-deb Providing Command-Line Options with the Debian Package”:
help.zscaler.com/client-connector/customizing-zscaler-client-connector-install-options-linux
That’s what I’m trying to use
Then, you need to load config file from UMS to local /wfs/ folder and create a custom command (Before network?) to copy it to the proper path to Zscaler use.
Yes I know this principle but here the prob is that the conf file content doesn’t seem to ‘update’ the zscaler client even after updating it and restarting the service, or doing it via the process you describe.
The script is supposed to do that but I tried with it and manually, no luck so far
