Has anyone run into a “failed to resolve host” error when attempting to push a firmware update? Why is it trying to talk to update.igel.de update.igel.de
We have that issue…See Sebastien’s post. Our issue, I believe, is that FTP is blocked by our firewall with the exception of a few machines going to specific addresses.
I would check if a firmware (OS for UDP/UDC or LX for Igel Hardware) is assigned, if yes, check if ports like 8443 and / or 21 / 9080 are opened.
Yup – blocked by our firewall also. Why does it need to access the FTP site at all? I thought the communication for firmware updates was from endpoint to UMS.
It doesn’t needs to, it’s just a place holder if no firmware is assigned; you can use whatever you want FTPS/SFTP/HTTP(s)/File…
We added a new policy that adds Mobile Device Access USB, but are now getting this error message after applying the policy and restarting the endpoint. Any help or suggestions?

Please assign the corresponding Universal Firmware, the device needs to install this feature from that source.
Profile is based on IGEL Universal Desktop OS 3 10.05.500.01 now, same as endpoint. Still fails to resolve host
I mean a universal firmware not the profile firmware.
Assigning the Universal Firmware to the endpoints and running the update command fixed the issue. Thank you so much!
