Has anyone managed to get ICG to install on a machine where username/password access is not allowed Just SSH keys?
Manual install then…

Key-based authentication is not supported by the remote installer. If you are using key-based authentication, you will have to install manually, see kb.igel.com/igelicg-12.02/en/installing-the-icg-without-remote-installer-90238526.html Installing the ICG without remote installer.

thx Ron
Working like a champ now!
I also always install ICG updates manual from the SSH console. I can see the progress of the installtion and if you know how to work with a linux shell it is quite easy and works very well.
