How to map a printer in IGEL OS?


Hi. Currently I have the problem that I need to pass locally attached USB printers into our Citrix environment. Is this only possible with a previously created CUPS printer? The native USB redirection should not be used as it makes the printer visible to all users logged on to the terminal server.

Unfortunately, it then also connects the printer when it is not physically connected. Is there any way around this?

We use the IGEL OS 11.08.248 with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and the operating system Microsoft Windows Server 2019

Yes, I also think that this is intentional.

It is also not a big deal, because we can come to terms with it. The behavior of the CWA under Windows is just different, because printers are automatically connected on Windows OS and our customers are a little bit confused with that
