How to minimize a Citrix session to return to the IGEL OS?

Hi, I’m trying to find a way of minimizing our Citrix session to return to the iGel OS when required but there isn’t the minimize icon on my control bar, only the remove hardware and Quit/Logoff session. Is there something I’ve not set up?

You can enable the full Citrix control bar with an IGEL registry key. Let me find it real quick.

I believe it is this one

ica.enable-toolbar

Although that may be the IGEL one if it is already checked. Let me know, I will keep digging, it’s hard to find this one sometimes

Any chance you’re thinking of User InterfaceDesktopIn-Session Control BarControl bar for Citrix sessions? That allows us to minimize a Citrix Desktop from the control bar.

Ah, this is the key

ica.allregions.connectionbar

@member the IGEL registry setting above will get you the full Citrix toolbar

Thank you @member and @member, unfortunately neither of those seemed to make a difference. I still only see the two icons and not the minimize one

what versions of the IGELOS and Citrix receiver are used?

Hi @member iGel OS 11.03.530.01 and Citrix Workspace App version 19.12.0.19

Hey Lorna, for the Citrix native one you may need to disable the IGEL bar. It may be covering the Citrix dropdown.

Thanks @member Which setting controls the iGel bar?

Disable this key: ica.enable-toolbar

Enable this key: ica.allregions.connectionbar

If that doesn’t work, you may have a Citrix policy blocking the Citrix connection bar on the VDI session

Unfortunately that didn’t work either 😞

Sounds like Citrix policy may be blocking it?

Not sure any reason why it would be but I’ll look at that. Thanks for all your help
