When using Imprivata in appliance mode it seems to be impossible to display any messages on the screen (the Imprivata login screen is very aggressively on top). This includes notify-send-message and the “Send Message” command in UMS. Something will appear for about 5ms and get pushed behind the Imprivata screen.
Starting with Imprivata 7.7 yes, aggressive is the appropriate the word. You have to gather information about the window properties and then whitelist the application in your Imprivata admin console.
