Hi, i want to create a custom appliaction that runs a script to scan via scanimage. The script works fine, but when i open it via the custom appliaction i have to put in a password. I know that this is to be expected, because we have a password on our root user, but when i press esc the scan still starts. It then weirdly only scans two images. Is there a proper way to run a simple bash script, when a password is set for a root user ? Thanks in advance !

Thanks Sebastian. The pkexec xterm -e … already did the tick for me. Just had to make the user the owner of the scan file ^^ Have a nice weekend ! 🙂
