Hi, I wanted to install the ICG but get this error: “Installation of IGEL Cloud Gateway terminated with error:Connection refused.”
If i connect with the same information using putty or winscp I can connect.
Hi , which UMS / ICG version?
UMS 6.4.100 ICG 2.1.110 but ICG is not deployed yet I want to set it up
On 1) I will send you the PB 2.01.130 which is more stable. 2) is the user you are using for the Remote Install, in sudo?
He can set sudo commands. Yes. He is not root so he need to do sudo SomeCommand
The user is not called icg, right? In the meantime you could try to install it directly on the VM: kb.igel.com/igelicg-2.01/en/installing-the-icg-without-remote-installer-19181709.html
no the name is not icg. I give it a try
Failed… Sadly my Linux Know how is not deep egnouth to see why…
`sudo ./installer-2.01.130.bin keystore.icg`
`[sudo] password for locadmin:`
`Creating directory icg-install.tmp`
`Verifying archive integrity… All good.`
`Uncompressing IGEL Secure Gateway installer 100%`
`/usr/bin/env: ‘python2’: No such file or directory`
`/usr/bin/env: ‘python’: No such file or directory`
`Python 3.8.2`
`module ‘platform’ has no attribute ‘linux_distribution’`
Did you installed python?
kb.igel.com/igelicg-2.01/en/preparing-the-linux-machine-19181657.html
Installing Python
Python 2.7 or Python 3.x is needed for the remote installer.
The following example describes the installation of Python 2.7.
1. To start the installation, enter `sudo apt-get install python2.7-minimal` (if you are logged in as `root`, skip `sudo`)
2. Create a symbolic link to Python 2.7:
3. `cd /usr/bin`
4. `sudo ln -s python2.7 python2`
phyton 3 is pre installed in ubuntu 20.04. I can also launch it
any more ideas?
I’m in calls, moment.
Beside the fact that 20.04 Ubuntu isn’t in the list of supported OS (18.04 is the latest) I would check if python is in /usr/bin
ls /usr/bin/python*
did not see that it is not supported. I will correct that. btw. python3 and python3.8 is there.
If I get issues again I will come back. Thank you
After Change OS to Ubuntu 18.04 I was still unable to run the remote installer but I could run the manual setup. Now I want to add the ICG to the UMS and get this error. When I Open the URL in that error in my browser it opens without certificate issue and prompt me for credentials.
btw. I thinc the Documentation is not Up to Date for that step. The GUI looks different for me: kb.igel.com/igelicg-2.01/en/connecting-the-ums-to-the-icg-19181705.html
is wildcard certificate supported? I did use it in an older version of icg when I was test it the first time.
Yes, wildcard is supported!
i was google a bit and find that this exception is thrown when there is the CA missing. It is a public CA and should be in the trust store. Can you confirm that the CA is trusted by the UMS? If not is there a possibility to add it? Or should it even check for the CA?
You need the whole Chain of Certificate imported into UMS usually. The UMS will not access the general store of your OS
yes that I know. I have the CA the intermediate and the Cert + Public key in the store. I was think of the Java store of the UMS located in C:Program FilesIGELRemoteManager_jvmlibsecurity
Not getting your point, I guess. The CA Chain needs to be imported here: Cloud Gateway Options:
kb.igel.com/igelicg-1.03/en/using-a-publicly-known-ca-in-ums-2271423.html kb.igel.com/igelicg-1.03/en/using-a-publicly-known-ca-in-ums-2271423.html
that is the case.
This issue is certificate related. I was configure my ICG with a self signed Certificate from the UMS and it is working. I will try to resolve that issue with support.
