Installing IGEL Cloud Gateway gives: returned non-zero exit status 1


Trying to install ICG from UMS. Receiving the following Error message

Installation of IGEL Cloud Gateway terminated with error:Exception occurred

stderr: [sudo] password for ICGroot: /usr/bin/env: ‘python2’: No such file or directory

/usr/bin/env: ‘python’: No such file or directory

Command ‘systemctl –quiet enable icg-server’ returned non-zero exit status 1.

stdout: Python 3.6.8

Applied the policy

still same error

[Errno 17] File exists: ‘/opt/IGEL/icg/zulu17.40.19-ca-jre17.0.6-linux_x64’ -> ‘/opt/IGEL/icg/java’

stdout: Python 3.6.8

Actually, slightly different error


uninstall prior to reinstalling: kb.igel.com/igelicg-12.02/en/uninstalling-icg-90238534.html


Make sure you do apt-get update/upgrade (not sure of the command for RHEL), before attemping


yum update 🙂 looks like Python 3.6.8 is installed so you should be good there
