Should igel 12 device be able to register with UMS without ICG or is the ICG now mandatory with newer igel 12’s?

It should be able to register if the OS12 endpoint is able to reach the UMS over the network, otherwise you will need an ICG that the endpoint can talk to.

Thanks troubleshooting continues then. 🙂

If you have direct connection, like VPN, to your UMS you can use OTP:

If not, you can use IGEL Onboarding via external Identity Provider, like Azure:

Same network allright. Ruling out the most obvious sutff first before going deeper.

Looking at the igel 12 rollout instructions got me the idea that maybe ICG on same network is needed. But’s thats now ruled out.

Thanks I did find out that site while troubleshooting.

Now i’m trying to get ssh open on the igel which is on remote site. Gonna use the igel then to fire up simple python web servers or something to see if the network is upt to the task.
