The client IP is not being passed correctly, it actually is being passed into a remote session as the “server ip” on IGEL OS 10.03.570

Hi there – Anyone seen an issue with 10.03.570 where the client IP is not being passed correctly, it actually is being passed into a remote session as the “server ip” ?

Hi! Are you speaking about a specific Remote Session like Citrix? I remember that it was a bug adressed in 13.8.

www.google.de/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/Citrix/comments/7muhtf/receiver_for_linux_137_client_ip_address/

Upgrading to 10.3.580 should resolve that issue.

well shit, that is great! yes, let me upgrade it now

Or better yet, upgrade to 10.4.x and get all of the most recent upgrades/improvements 🙂

haha exactly what im doing

Hmm didn’t appear to fix issue in 13.8, checking again

Sounds like might be a Citrix case than at this point stil lan issue

Ok so it is fixed in 13.9? Can the 13.9 reciever be side loaded on this latest firmware

Are you talking if you view the session in Studio/Director, the client IP is incorrect? Direct XenApp or XenDesktop session from the IGEL? No gateway?

That is correct – The client ip (end point IP) is matching the server IP of the XA VM.

The post above is exactly what is going on

You can see client address is wrong, but the key connectedviaipaddress is correct

i don’t think sideloading Linux receiver is supported that i know of. you have option to switch to later receiver in profile? i cant’ remember what is available in the profile choice then after upgrading to that firmware

Have you also updated your profile to use the 10.4.x template?

I thin latest is 13.8 based on release notes let me double check

not in IGEL UMS every day

OZZY!!

lol

From a profile standpoint, do we need seperate profiles for v5 and V10? pretty sure thats a yes

Wow! That is strange; I just replicated it on 10.04.100 with 13.8 Receiver. Connected Via IP reported the IGEL IP, just like you said. Never noticed that before. At least the Client Name reports correctly, which I usually use that anyway.

@member Thats how we do it. One profile for v5 and another for v10.

Thanks gents – To update the thread the beta build including 13.9.1 fixes the issue

well you wouldn’t know, but the client IP shown there is accurate.

Yeah – This would totally jank up anyone doing any sort of UEM with client ip policies – Good fix on this one for sure. Thanks to all for feedback on this one

When can we expect the offical release of 10.4.230?
