Has anyone installed Powershell within the IGEL OS via custom partition


Just curious more than anything… Has anyone installed Powershell within the IGEL OS via custom partition and if you have, what have you done with it? Or is it pretty redundant with bash?

I have made an CP for PS 6.x . Since CPs are Enterprise Licensing only I did not follow up on it. I have done some testing with it (Pester-Test for IGEL connectivity).

For me it would be interesting when used within some platform which utilizes PS remoting to gather data maybe. Also to manipulate files on the devices from outside of UMS / IGEL-OS.

But I dont have any real usecase you could not do with bash as well.


Ok, thanks for the feedback 🙂 I think one big potential benefit is that most of the engineers at my organization are familiar with Powershell. I may test this down the road and was curious what results others had.
