My IGEL devices lacks the UMS cloud license, although it uses it??

Good morning! I have a strange, contradictory problem: My IGEL lacks the UMS cloud license, although it uses it. Yes, I am serious about that.

1. I did the ICG setup and (according to the system) registered the client in the UMS. I also see it in the UMS. It is also in the UMS cloud gateway list and when I look at the licenses, it has become one less. But the client tells me it is waiting for a license. And when I look at the device in the administration, it also says that the license is missing…. It’s OS10, so it doesn’t need a Client-license.

2. I have already reset the client and re-registered it.

3. I have already revoked his UMS cloud license (right click, remove license). Accordingly, he definitely has it.

Does anyone have ideas how I can solve the problem?

Thank you for reading that 🙂

Good afternoon Dorothea, so you are on OS10 and your device uses ICG, right? On OS10 you are aware that you need an ICG License, and that is the case, right?

Hello Sebastian – thank you for your answer. Yes, I’m using ICG. And yes, I defently has a licence. I have some screenshots (in German – sorry) to make my problem clear: There is a licence but I’m not enough (?) licenced? The client still tell me, it’s waiting to get licenced. It’s a mystery for me. Thank you for your support. If you have ideas, let me hear them. 🙂

The missing license is for the OS, not for the ICG, I think.

But only clients with OS11 or higher need a license, I thought?

No, a license is required for all IGEL firmwares. In this case a UDC3 license is required

Oh. Wow, i read the system so often and I didn’t see it! Thank you! 🙂

No problem! 🙂
