I want to see if anybody can help solve an issue that I am facing. We have IZ2-HDX40s. I have some units that are freezing with the screensaver activated. Has anybody else experienced this? They iGels are running 10.05.100 firmware with profiles that match.
We will see… When you say freezin: are you saying the GUI freezes but the device is reachable via Ping/Ssh?
Which kind of Screensaver are you using? Igel ones or a specific one created under Firmware Customization?
I have not tried to ping the device but the monitor just shows the iGel screen saver active. I can see the mouse pointer move when I move the mouse but the screen saver never goes away. Can’t see apps.
Custom Screensaver or the standard Igel ones?
Standard

Works like a charm on my side… You should open a ticket at our support, but you may also have look at the Xorg Logs, located under /var/log/Xorg.0.log through SSH or Console (CTRL+ALT+F12) and see if you find something with cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep SCREEN-LOCK
This is how it should looks like, would be interesting to see your side…
@member Can you test what happen if you configure the screensaver localy in IZ without your UMS….
This is what the log looks like from one thin client.
I continue to have this issue with only one location. I have tried multiple firmwares with profiles that match each firmware version. The profiles that I am using at that location are also being used at other locations but I am not getting reports of this behavior from them. We use the in kiosk mode. The iGel can only go to our Citrix Storefont. From there the user logs in and launches our One World Desktop.

Ok, I haven’t the oppurtinity to get deeper in debug because of business trips but what did our support suggested? From my side, I would follow the voodoo line:
1) did you checked if screen (and connectors) differs between this location and the other one
2) Are the devices the same?
3) Are the Bios versions equal?
4) What happens if you move another device to the location? Does the issue move too?
5) Did you checked if there is a profile that isn’t assigned to the other ones?
6) Did you checked the profile Firmware version?
