Does anyone have experiences on redirect USB-Scanner devices from IGEL 10.06.130 to Citrix XenDesktop (19.12) ? I’ve found some configurations under USB-rules but I don’t know how to enable them, that the device could be redirected to the Citrix session.
We are using IGEL OS 10.06.130, Citrix XenDesktop 19.12 LTSR with a Windows 10 VDI.
IGEL showes the device under “USB Devices” but in Citrix there is no device showen.
The Citrix Policies for TWAIN and USB-Devices are enabled correctly.
A nice weekend in advance ;-)
Hello @member, you would most likely need to get the devices VID/PID and configure those in the profile to redirect them properly.
You can get the VID/PID from the IGEL device manager window, or by plugging the device into a Windows device and using the Windows device manager to look at hardware ID’s
If Christophers suggestion doesn‘t work, you might also have a look on that addon:

The client is integrated in our Firmware bit the server engine needs to get licensed at Fabulatech.
Thank you for responding. I will give a try next days and give a feedback.
I’ve found VID and PID in the IGEL client sysinfo (picture2) and added to the accesscontrol of the client (picture1). Is this correct ? I don’t know what to enter to UUID ?
-> sorry only german client os <-
UUID isn’t needed, Vendor / Product ID is enough. But don’t forget that the “USB Zugriffskontrolle” is only meant as a Security Feature, you will need the USB Redirection:
kb.igel.com/igelos-11.03.100/en/how-to-configure-citrix-native-usb-redirection-24384652.html
Now I’ve configured Citrix Native Redirection with no success 😞
Is this the right place – as described in the article ?
Yes, but Scanners are tough! you might also have a look on that addon:

Found the issue – it was a not applied Citrix Policy to allow USB direction. Now it works fine – thank you.
Great! Happy to help!!
That was going to be my next question. Glad you got it working @member
