How to setup a Printer and VMware Horizon View?

Hello Gents, Have spent quiet a lot of time on trying to make USB Printer (Canon 7020) to work with VMware Win 10 session using Dell 5070 ThinClient and IGEL 11.08 .

As my understanding there is two options, one with USB Redirection, and second is with CUPS .

With USB redirection i was not able to make printer appear in Windows at all, although see it in IGEL linux session, but still can not make it to print anything.

With CUPS again looks like its recognized locally in Linux session, after setting it up with CUPS and even appeared in Windows but nothing prints.

Is it any settings needs to be applied with VMware?

but pretty sure need to make it work in IGEL session first

Thank you

For VMWare you need to use the proper driver on the endpoint, not the Raw Queue. It’s the opposite of RDS / Citrix
