WebEx Meeting inside Persitant or Non-Persistant Citrix VDI on IGEL OS


Hey together, we have a bit of trouble getting our cisco webex up and running inside our VDI with OS11.03.612 and 11.04.200.

First Try :

=> User logs in on a persitant HVD with Citrix

=> Zoom for VDI is activated, Webcam works from ThinClient as aspected

Secound Try :

=> User logs in on a persitant HVD with Citrix

=> WebExTeams for VDI is activated, Webcam works from ThinClient as aspected

Third Try :

=> User logs in on a persitant HVD with Citrix

=> WebExMeeting for VDI is activated, Webcam is not recognized

Last Try :

=> User logs in on a persitant HVD with Citrix

=> WebExMeeting for VDI and USB Redirect (BCR Redirect) is activated, Webcam is recognized short and stops transmitting immediately

All Packages are VDI-Versions and configured as advised in Administration Guides but it look’s like Webex Meeting won’t use the redirect with the PlugIn.

I didn’t find comparable phenomens with google or inside the Community.

Does anybody else use WebEx Meeting inside Persitant or Non-Persistant Citrix VDI and can give us a hint ??


Hey, I don’t have a Cisco Testenv. to reproduce the issue, but I would check if something useful comes up from this Debug Guide AND on our OS under:

/var/log/cisco

Hey, the Cisco log-directory on the Igel ist empty, but there are Logs inside CiscoTeamsVDI. I will read the jvdi Script later…. but i think it’s only about Jabber, which isn’t installed and used on our side..

Hi Sven, have you set this Key in HKCU in the Session? SOFTWAREWebExNativeVDI VDIFeatureEnabled DWORD 1 You do not need redirect the USB Camera.

To support @member: I didn’t hought you had Native USB Redirection enabled, did you?

Hi, I ‘ll look for it. The Cam-Redirect was the last step we did, only to see if this will work.

@member Our normal Profile for Webex &WebEx Teams only activate the plugin. there is only one other Profile with Language, Chromium and Terminal activation.

EDIT : Meeting and Teams are two Profiles !!

EDIT2 : @member Ah, deactivating HDX can it be. But Why does it work with WebEx Teams and not WebEx Meeting while the rest configuration ist the same ?


Ok, so all other settings are set on Default and like we did in my screenies, right @member?

Thats it…. It runs !!

The whole Key was missing !!

I re-checked it…. It was only the Key… All others can stay as default
